This guide is to assist people who are looking to consult with or hire a private attorney in the Mat-Su Valley.
This guide does not include any public sector attorneys (such as Judges, Public Defenders, Prosecutors, and Assistant Attorney Generals) or attorneys who are employed full time by entities such as companies or non profits.
It also does not include any Eagle River or Anchorage-based attorneys. However, keep in mind that many Eagle River and Anchorage attorneys will take on clients from the Mat-Su Valley.

This Mat-Su Valley Attorney guide is useful because it is UP TO DATE. Google is not always accurate. Sometimes an attorney’s law office has closed permanently (due to retirement or taking a public sector job or moving away) but continues to show up in Google search results. The MTA telephone book is helpful but it does not include all of the local attorneys because some attorneys opt not to have an MTA phone line or a business listing in the MTA phone book. Todd Communications’ Alaska Attorney Directory is published twice per year but generally only attorneys purchase it and even its listings are sometimes out of date. Plus, the Todd Directory does not differentiate between attorneys who are actively practicing law and those who are currently licensed but not taking on any clients. Also, it does not list specialties unless the attorney pays extra for a specialty listing.
